Cacao may increase your focus and alertness. Cacao contains monoamine oxidase enzyme inhibitors that may also inhibit your appetite. That's why you may grab a chocolate and it seems to hold you over when you are very hungry. Serotonin also is transmitted to circulate to the brain causing a wonderful feeling of well being and even rejuvenation. Some claim is makes them feel youthful.
In the beginning there was a bean. The scientific name of the cacao tree's fruit is 'Theobroma Cacao" meaning "food of the Gods". Spanning through time and history, this bean is regarded with such power some have even worshipped it as though it had godly powers. Well, maybe it does. I truly believe that anything that can cause so much joy and happiness must be good! Healing must accompany joy and happiness. Here is the naked chocolate in the raw recipe. It is delicious!

Ingredients
- Two cups raw almonds
- Eight cups pure water
- 1 Gallon clean glass jar
- A fine strainer
- Three tablespoons (or more-adjust to your taste)raw organic cacao beans (these beans are raw! chocolate in the raw - not cooked and not processed, and totally organic - no chemicals)
- 1/2 -1 teaspoon Flora Sweet(try 1/2 teaspoon first to taste)(may also use stevia to taste)
- 1-2 tablespoons Organic Maca Powder
(Organic Maca powder is a root from Peru. It is high protein and is regarded as an aphrodisiac and fertility enhancer. It is an exciting nutrient that can make you feel just wonderful)
- (Three pinches organic cinnamon optional)
- (1/2 cup organic coconut milk optional)
- (1/4 cup organic cashews finely ground optional)
- (One or more teaspoons of vanilla extract to taste)
Take two cups of organic almonds. Soak in pure filtered water 24 hours and then pour out the old water and replace again with more pure filtered water. Be sure they are totally submerged. Soak another 12 hours. Drain off all the water and let those little almonds rest for a while. They should have little sprouts to let you know they are alive and full of healthy enzymes and good vibrations.
Take 3-6 tablespoons raw organic cacao beans and grind them into a fine powder in a coffee grinder. Scrape off the sides of the coffee grinder and grind the beans again.
Place the raw almonds in a blender with six cups of pure water and blend on high until it is all liquified. Let it rest. Now turn on the blender again and run it for a longer period of time to truly have the almonds in a liquid state.
Have handy a large gallon glass bottle with a wide opening on top. Use a fine strainer or cotton cloth bags that are sometimes used to strain tea. Slowly pour the liquified almonds into the strainer and let the almond milk pour into the glass jar. You are making the most amazing beautiful and divine food right now. Holding your hands over the jar gently squeeze all of the almond milk out of the cloth, or press all the milk through the strainer. Squeeze until there is no longer any liquid to press out. You just made almond milk! Sometimes people think they are allergic to chocolate when they are actually allergic to dairy. This almond milk is truly delicious. You may add an additional six cups of pure water to this milk to make more of this wonderful drink. The milk will be very rich before adding more water. Try it and adjust it to your taste.
